More than 100 professionals from all over Spain will attend the 4th edition of the course “Innovation in water quality measurement and discharge monitoring”
  • The course is aimed at quality and maintenance managers in private food and chemical companies in the Valencian Region.
  • It will be held on 27 June 2018 in the auditorium of the CEEI in the Paterna Technology Park (Valencia).
  • Leading companies such as BILANZ QUALITAT®, Suez, A-was, Sadyt, Valoriza Agua, Labaqua and Derypol are taking part.

The main aim of the course is to optimise water consumption and reuse, as well as Legionella control in these facilities.

The latest measurement and data traceability systems for monitoring water quality at any point in an industrial plant will be presented.

The rising cost of make-up water and of the discharge levy has created unexpected extra costs that companies must tackle to stay competitive. The new UNE standard on Legionella includes important changes in this area.

Course scope

The course will present a range of measurement technologies, such as:

  • Online COD, nitrates, ammonium, chromium, phosphates, chlorophylls, hydrocarbons, fluorescent tracers and ISE.
  • Chlorine dioxide equipment as a biocide.
  • Reagent-free portable chlorine and ozone analysers.
  • Portable and online UV 254 transmittance measuring equipment for disinfection control.
  • Rapid Legionella detection strips with results in 25 minutes.
  • Submersible multi-parameter photometers with data logger and Bluetooth data transfer to computer, mobile phone or tablet.
  • Probes and multiprobes that need no controllers and can be connected directly to PLCs.
  • Discharge monitoring equipment with integrated early-warning system, measurement, actuation, data logger and web server.

The course will also look at how the traceability of the new water quality control systems, which measure, record and send data and alarms, helps us to understand and adapt our facilities, optimising resources and meeting new legal requirements.
