TEROCA: REMOTE DISCHARGE MONITORING

IoT remote discharge monitoring with early warnings
BILANZ QUALITAT® has installed several TEROCA discharge monitoring units, with early warnings, for Hidraqua, part of the Veolia group, a company that manages the integrated water cycle.
Where they are installed
• In the sewer networks of industrial estates, to monitor discharges into the stormwater and wastewater networks.
• At company outlets to the sewer network, or inside their premises, to check that the discharge is compliant.
• At WWTP inlets, to monitor industrial and municipal discharges.

What the operator gains
These units can monitor any type of discharge (in an inspection chamber, a manhole or at the WWTP itself) so that corrective action can be taken in time to prevent a one-off discharge from affecting the operation of the plant.
It is a self-contained, portable system: a compact, outdoor-rated enclosure with several days' autonomy, allowing the monitoring point to be moved from one location to another.
It logs data 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and sends alarms and alerts by email. The operator receives the information and acts from a tablet or phone without having to be on site. Tables and charts for each point can also be downloaded to prepare reports on one-off discharges.

A network ready to grow
BILANZ QUALITAT® installed a private high-speed wireless communications network that covers all the units and allows other devices to be added to the same management system, such as chlorination panels, security cameras, access control, meters and weather stations.
