4th edition of the course “Innovation in water quality measurement and discharge monitoring”
Delivered by leading companies such as Suez, Sacyr Agua, Labaqua, A-was, Jecma and BILANZ QUALITAT®.
BILANZ QUALITAT® presents the 4th edition of the course “Innovation in water quality measurement and discharge monitoring”, to be held on 27 June 2018 at the CEEI in the Paterna Technology Park (Valencia). The course aims to strengthen the food industry’s knowledge and decision-making in water quality control.
Water is an essential resource for every industry and a key raw material for the food industry, which cannot afford to have water-related problems.

Chlorine dioxide and ozone generator
The rising cost of make-up water and of the discharge levy is currently creating unexpected extra costs for companies; solving this problem makes them more competitive.
On this course, delivered by leading speakers, we will have the opportunity to learn first-hand from the experts about the legislation, equipment, solutions and key points to bear in mind in order to understand the ins and outs of the water in our facilities, helping us to improve processes and cut unnecessary costs.
The course will review the main needs of food companies with a clearly practical approach, aimed at clarifying and shedding light on the main water-related problems we face every day in our industries.
For us, the water entering a plant is as important as the water leaving it, as is the process water, since in every case we are using a scarce resource that also adds a great deal of value to the products.
Poor water quality can cause major financial losses in these industries, which in most cases can easily be avoided through smart water management.

Discharge monitoring equipment with remote management
It will present a range of measurement technologies, such as:
- COD, TOC, BOD, nitrates and ammonium.
- Chromium and heavy metals.
- Phosphates, chlorophylls, hydrocarbons, fluorescent tracers and ISE online.
- Equipment for chlorine dioxide as a biocide.
- Equipment for generating ozone.
- Portable and online UV 254 transmittance measuring equipment for disinfection control.
- Disinfection equipment using ultraviolet light.
- Continuous samplers.
- Probes and multiprobes that need no controllers and can be connected directly to PLCs.
- Discharge monitoring equipment with integrated early-warning system, measurement, actuation, data logger and web server.

COD, TOC, BOD, ammonium, metals, etc.
We will learn how to optimise resources and adapt to new legal requirements thanks to the traceability of the new control systems, which measure, record and remotely send water quality data and alarms from our facilities.

Automatic samplers
Participating companies will be able to receive “4 credits”* of specialist technical support to have their facilities analysed free of charge.
* Ask about the terms and conditions of the credits.
