New low-power immersion probes with Modbus output for WWTPs

BILANZ QUALITAT® is expanding its portfolio of low-power immersion probes with Modbus output, specially designed for wastewater treatment plants and discharge monitoring.

In response to customer needs and developments in the water market, the company is extending its line of Modbus probes that require no controllers or transmitters. BILANZ QUALITAT® remains committed to Industry 4.0 and cuts installation costs by using only probes connected directly to PLCs or data loggers.

These low-power probes can be powered by batteries or solar panels.

Most of them have a rotor that cleans the probe surface without the need for external components.

They include probes for nitrate, ammonium, COD, BOD, colour, TSS, TDS, sludge blanket level, oil in water, nitrite, chlorophyll, blue-green algae and more: the parameters needed to keep discharges and processes under control in both urban and industrial wastewater treatment plants.

The line of sensors for river and lake monitoring is also being extended, with chlorophyll, rhodamine and blue-green algae sensors, and level probes that can be installed on buoys or aquatic drones.

These probes join the extensive range of sensors that BILANZ QUALITAT® offers to the water treatment market.

The basic day-to-day parameters of urban and industrial WWTPs, such as pH, redox, conductivity, salinity, TDS, TSS, turbidity and dissolved oxygen, are also available as Modbus and 4-20 mA probes.
