Compact COD, BOD, TSS, level and velocity probes for discharge monitoring
To comply with the new regulations, BILANZ QUALITAT® presents its pack of compact, low-cost probes for monitoring sewer overflows and treatment plant outlets.
BILANZ QUALITAT® favours probes with no controller or transmitter of any kind, with 4-20 mA and Modbus outputs, which can easily be connected to a data logger or PLC to record what happens at each overflow point 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, preventing uncontrolled discharges and enabling immediate decisions and action.
As well as the probes' communications, the company also focuses on their dimensions, keeping them as small as possible to make discharge monitoring easier.
All this without forgetting that the probes must be very robust, given the harsh conditions they will have to withstand.
These principles make for a highly affordable, high-performance solution, including the ability to measure COD, BOD5 and TOC, parameters that are essential for discharge monitoring.
The pack consists of:
Self-contained velocity and level probes with dual 4-20 mA output.
Their small size makes them very versatile for installation in channels, inspection chambers and rivers.
They are easy to relocate.
The suspended solids, COD, BOD5 and TOC probes also have a Modbus output and store up to 16 calibration points for different matrices in their memory.
The probe, no bigger than the palm of your hand, logs data every 10 seconds.
Their titanium housing makes them highly resistant for discharge monitoring.
They are not affected by high chloride concentrations.
Next come the probes most widely used for discharges: inductive conductivity probes with 4-20 mA or Modbus output.
These probes are very robust and require virtually no maintenance.
They are similar in size to the COD and TSS probe.
And of course there are pH and redox probes, whose 4-20 mA outputs make them easy to connect to any data logger.
