BILANZ QUALITAT® aquatic drone

Aquatic drone – BILANZ QUALITAT®

BILANZ QUALITAT® continues to invest in Industry 4.0 technologies and is introducing aquatic drones to the sector to measure physico-chemical and microbiological water quality parameters.
We have all heard of drones, but little has been said about drones that can sit on the water without getting wet or stopping working.

BILANZ QUALITAT® has opted for a boat-type model that can get wet and capsize without any problem.

They are autonomous units that measure physico-chemical and microbiological water quality parameters in real time in different water bodies.

They determine key parameters such as COD, BOD, TOC, pH, conductivity, turbidity, oxygen, E. coli and TSS in real time, and carry out complete mapping of water bodies.

These units can even collect samples and bring them back to the shore for later analysis.

  • Because they are operated remotely without the need for qualified staff and deliver data in real time, they expand what teams can do, reduce costs and improve results.
  • They fit in the boot of a car, with no need for large boats; they are also operated by a single person, who sets the route the unit must follow, with the resulting cost savings.
  • They do not put sampling staff at risk, as the unit is operated from the shore.
  • There is no need to carry a separate sampler, as one can be built into the drone.
  • Greatly reduces the time needed to prepare samples from water bodies.
  • Provides access to areas that cannot be reached by standard means.
  • Carries out comprehensive mapping with GPS geolocation.
  • In heavily polluted areas, it protects operators' health and safety.
  • Very useful for compliance with ISO 45001 or OHSAS 18001.
  • The units return to their starting point on their own using GPS geolocation.
